Brian C. Turner was selected to serve as the Executive Assistant Director for the Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch in April 2021. Prior to his appointment, EAD Turner served as the Assistant Director for the Operational Technology Division from March 2020 until May 2021 after serving as Special Agent in Charge of the New Haven Division (September 2018–February 2020). Before his New Haven assignment, EAD Turner served as an International Operations Division (IOD) Section Chief (April 2017–August 2018). While in IOD, EAD Turner was responsible for Legal Attaché operations in Europe and Eastern Europe/Eurasia. EAD Turner also served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Criminal and Administrative programs in the Minneapolis Division (January 2016–March 2017).

EAD Turner was assigned as the Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in the Tucson Resident Agency (TRA) while in the Phoenix Division. Prior to serving as the JTTF SSA, he supervised a TRA criminal enterprise squad that targeted violent criminal activity associated with Mexican cartels on the US-Mexico border (September 2012–December 2015).

Prior to his time in Arizona, EAD Turner was assigned to FBIHQ with the Counterterrorism Division's (CTD) Fly Team (October 2008–August 2012). While on the Fly Team, he routinely deployed to Africa and other global locations in support of advancing CTD’s overseas mission to combat international terrorism threats.

EAD Turner’s initial assignment as a Special Agent was in the Philadelphia Division, where he investigated white collar crime, criminal enterprises and supported surveillance operations (September 2002–October 2008). While serving in Philadelphia, EAD Turner deployed to Iraq (January 2008) to support FBI operational priorities in the region. He entered on duty with the FBI in April 2002.

Before joining the FBI, AD Turner served in the US Army for approximately 10 years. While serving in the Army, AD Turner served as a faculty member at the US Military Academy at West Point. AD Turner is a 1991 graduate of West Point. In 1998, AD Turner earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from Long Island University. He is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
